Most Innovative Brand of the Year

Plus X Award

A special award for extraordinary brands:
Presenting an award for the Most Innovative Brand

Most of the Plus X award winning products merely receive a seal in a specific category, which, though, may mean that their additional features are of lesser quality: Only products of highest quality will pass the strict jury process. All of the winning products were tested based on their value for the money and their consumer friendliness. The Plus X factors show that one product has at least one additional special innovative feature or is novel in terms of its design, ease-of-use, ecology and / or ergonomics.

The question is, though, what happens if a brand in particular received especially good ratings at the Plus X Award? If it was able to receive even more Plus X Award seals than any other of the competing products in its product group? Since 2006, the most successful Plus X award participants can not only look forward to the renowned quality seal, but also to be honored for their particular strength as a brand: They receive the prize of the “Most Innovative Brand of the Year” in their product group.

This prize is based on the number of award categories assigned to a brand. This assures that particular innovative qualities are included in the overall assessment of the brands that receive the highest number of awards while the categories design, ease-of-use, ecology and ergonomics are treated with equal measure. Along side of the eleven product groups in the Plus X Award, since 2007 there have also been eleven awards for the Most Innovative Brands. This is a special honor, because the most innovative brands of the year are determined transparently by a Plus X award jury familiar with the technology - and their decision is clearly based on the products that are the most convincing.
